Fox & Hounds Inn

No mention is made of the pub in the census of 1841, but a decade later the occupant was 25-year-old Daniel Parry of Merthyr Tydfil, who was a coal miner, not an innkeeper. 

Along with wife Jane and two children, they shared the property with a house servant. 

By 1871 the tenant was Ann Roberts, whose husband Morgan, was a local butcher.
